Business Analyst, Capital Markets

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders across front office, operations, and technology teams to gather, analyse, and document business and system requirements
• Support the design and delivery of solutions across capital markets products, including trade lifecycle processes, position management, and reporting
• Analyse current workflows and systems to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement
• Contribute to system integration efforts, including API-based solutions and data flow optimisation
• Produce clear documentation such as functional specifications, process flows, and test cases
• Work closely with development teams to ensure requirements are understood and implemented effectively
• Support testing activities, including defining test scenarios and validating outcomes
• Ensure solutions align with internal governance, risk, and compliance standards
• Assist in identifying and mitigating risks related to system and process changes

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst or similar role within capital markets or financial services
• Product knowledge in Structured Products is highly advantageous
• Strong understanding of financial products and trade lifecycle processes
• Experience working with middle office or operational systems is preferred
• Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies (e.g. Scrum)
• Ability to work with technical teams, with some understanding of system architecture and integrations
• Experience with data analysis tools (e.g. SQL) and data formats such as JSON or XML is advantageous
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
• Degree in a relevant field such as Finance, Technology, or Business
