BUILDING PAINTER

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Building Painter to perform high-quality painting work on residential, commercial, and construction projects. The candidate will be responsible for preparing surfaces, mixing materials, and applying paint and finishes according to project specifications. The role requires attention to detail, safety awareness, and the ability to work efficiently in various environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints and inspect surfaces to determine painting requirements

• Prepare walls and surfaces by scraping, sanding, and removing old paint

• Fill cracks and holes using appropriate materials (e.g., plaster) to ensure smooth finishes

• Mix paints and materials to achieve the desired color, consistency, and texture

• Apply paint, varnish, and finishes using brushes, rollers, and other tools

• Erect and dismantle scaffolding and ensure proper protection of fixtures and surrounding areas

• Maintain cleanliness and safety of the worksite at all times

• Calculate project costs and negotiate pricing with clients when required

• Follow all workplace health and safety regulations strictly

• Work flexible hours, including shifts, weekends, and public holidays when necessary

Requirements

• Proven experience as a building painter

• Strong knowledge of painting materials, techniques, and surface preparation

• Familiarity with commercial and/or construction painting work

• Ability to use tools such as brushes, rollers, and caulking guns effectively

• Good physical condition, balance, and ability to work at heights

• High level of attention to detail and workmanship quality
