The Building Engineer will oversee all Mechanical, Electrical, and Building-related facilities maintenance and operations to ensure safe, efficient, and sustainable building performance.
This role involves leading a team of technical staff, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, plan, and supervise all building maintenance and M&E services, including preventive and corrective works.
- Manage and guide a team of technical officers and technicians to deliver effective facilities management services.
- Investigate and resolve M&E faults by identifying root causes and implementing corrective measures.
- Work closely with the Facilities Manager to ensure optimal performance of all building systems.
- Oversee installation, inspection, and upgrading of M&E systems to ensure efficiency, safety, and sustainability.
- Conduct regular inspections, recommend improvements, and ensure strict compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
- Manage contractors, vendors, and project teams to resolve technical issues and deliver quality service.
- Attend meetings, prepare reports, and communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.
Job Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Facilities Management, Construction Management, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in building services or facilities management, with proven leadership in managing M&E operations.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, regulatory requirements, and safety standards.
