Key Responsibilities
- Recording Transactions: Logging daily purchases, sales, receipts, and payments in the general ledger.
- Reconciliation: Reconciling bank and credit card accounts monthly to ensure accuracy.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Managing invoicing, billing, and tracking payments.
- Payroll Processing: Calculating wages and handling payroll tax withholdings.
- Financial Reporting: Preparing monthly profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
- Tax Compliance: Assisting with tax returns, VAT/sales tax filings, and audit preparation.
- Software Management: Utilizing software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Zoho Books for all financial tasks.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Experience: Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a relevant accounting role.
- Software Proficiency: Strong knowledge of accounting software and Excel.
- Accuracy: Exceptional attention to detail and ability to maintain100% accuracy in financial records.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze transactions and reconcile accounts.
- Communication: Ability to communicate financial information to stakeholders.
- Education: High school diploma associate degree in accounting or finance is a plu
