Backend Developer (Java / AWS)

Location: Toa Payoh

Contract: 1 Year

Job Responsibilities

• Develop new microservices based on functional requirements for UI backend and external application APIs
• Build and maintain batch programs to process large volumes of data on scheduled runs
• Perform troubleshooting, defect fixing, and performance tuning to ensure application efficiency and SLA compliance
• Conduct thorough unit testing to ensure code quality and reliability
• Work closely with Business Analysts to clarify requirements and support issue resolution

Must-Have Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Java development
• Hands-on experience with frameworks/libraries such as Spring, Spring Batch, and Hibernate
• Familiar working in AWS environment, including ability to configure ECS task definitions
• Able to integrate and communicate with AWS services using AWS SDK
• Familiar with unit testing frameworks such as JUnit, Mockito, and PowerMock

Good to Have

• Experience in React.js and Node.js
• Experience in scripting for test automation and data migration
• Experience developing AWS Lambda functions in Python
