Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and forward-thinking individual with a specialised focus on Artificial Intelligence (AI), emerging technologies and process automation. This role is ideal for a proactive individual who is passionate about leveraging cutting-edge technology to enhance sales oversight, identify trends and streamline operations. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in developing and implementing analytical solutions to optimise our sales surveillance processes.
Responsibilities:
- Application of AI and Emerging Technologies: Assist in researching and evaluating AI technology to enhance surveillance capabilities. Contribute to projects aimed at re-designing workflows:- Gather Inputs: Support user research and stakeholder interviews to gather comprehensive requirements and understand user needs and pain points. Assist in analysing existing systems and workflows to identify opportunities for improvement and automation.
- Produce Requirements: Help to translate gathered insights into detailed functional and non-functional requirements, user stories, use cases, and process flows.
- Manage Workflow s: Participate in internal team discussions to establish future-state workflows, collaborating with design teams to finalize user experience details down to specific UI elements.
- Facilitate Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a supporting liaison between business Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), platform teams, and design teams to ensure a shared vision and aligned execution.
- Process Automation: Design, develop and implement automation solutions using tools like Excel macros, power automate and other scripting languages to reduce manual effort in data collection, reporting and routine tasks and processes.
- Regular Surveillance Reviews:- Assist to perform Sales Surveillance control checks and any ad-hoc control-assurance checks.
- Escalate to management on a timely manner on any non-compliance on sales process.
- Review, update and implement related policies, procedures and control measures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Assess and identify any internal control weakness, and implement the necessary rectification or changes in control procedures.
- Work with Front Office and Management on control related matters and escalate issues to Management, where appropriate.
- Work closely with various internal departments including Legal and Compliance, Internal Audit, IT, Operations, Sales Support, training and Ops Risk team.
- Prepare Sales Surveillance reports for management.
- Conduct Sales Process training to sales staff when needed.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of industry best practices, regulatory changes, and advancements in AI, automation, and sales surveillance techniques to continuously improve existing processes and tools.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics, Finance, or a related quantitative field.
- Technical Proficiency:- Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions, pivot tables, and macro development (VBA).
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau).
- Experience with or strong interest in applying AI/Machine Learning concepts and tools.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets and translate them into clear, actionable insights.
- Innovative Mindset: Keen interest in AI, emerging technologies, and their application to business challenges, particularly in sales surveillance and process optimization.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical information and findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proactive and Self-Driven: Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and proactively identify opportunities for improvement.
- Adaptability: Comfortable with change and complexity in dynamic environments, with a lean mindset to automate and simplify processes.
- Preferred Attributes:- Experience in a sales operations, compliance, or surveillance role within the Wealth Management industry.
- Experience with Robotic Process Automation (RPA) platforms (e.g. Microsoft Power Automate)
- A portfolio or examples of successful automation projects or AI applications.
