The Company Accountant is responsible for managing the financial records, reporting, and
compliance of the organization. This role ensures accurate accounting practices,
supports business decisions with financial insights, and maintains internal controls -
especially important in a bullion or trading environment where transactions are
high-value and time-sensitive.
Key Responsibilities
. Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers, journals, and reconciliations
. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
. Monitor cash flow, bullion inventory valuation, and transaction tracking
. Handle accounts payable and receivable processes
. Ensure compliance with tax regulations, financial laws, and reporting standards
. Coordinate audits and lease with external auditors and regulatory bodies
. Manage bank reconciliations and oversee treasury functions
. Support budgeting , forecasting, and financial planning
. Implement and improve internal accounting system and controls
. Analyse financial data to assist management in decision-making
Requirements
. Bachlor's degree in Accounting, finance, or a related field
. Professional certification n(e.g., CPA, ACCA or equivalent) preferred
. 1-2+ years not accounting experience
(experience in commodities , bullion, or trading is plus)
. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards (e.g., IFRS or GAAP)
. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks , or similar ERP systems)
. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
. High attention to detail and accuracy
. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
. Ability to handle confidential financial information with integrity
. Good communication and organisational skills
Preferred skills (Bonus)
. Experience with precious metals accounting or inventory valuation
. Knowledge of foreign exchange transactions and risk management
. Familiarity with regulatory compliance in financial or trading sectors
