Role Overview:
The Broker Enablement Operations role is designed to strengthen day-to-day broker support while embedding technical discipline, structured operational behaviors, coordination, and reporting rigor. Building on the core Broker Enablement function, this role reinforces pre-bind controls, system accuracy, and evidence readiness while ensuring brokers are operationally supported and management information is accurate, consistent, and timely.
The role works closely with Broker Enablement, Premium Processing & Technical, and senior Operations leadership to ensure broker activity is enabled, in line with internal standards, regulatory expectations, and best practice, and ensuring cross-department efficiencies.
Key Responsibilities
Broker Support & Operational Support
- Provide hands-on operational support to brokers across policy documentation, renewals, endorsements, and system bookings.
- Support pre-bind completeness by ensuring placement documentation, approvals, and system records are aligned prior to bind.
- Act as an early control checkpoint to help surface contract certainty gaps, escalating issues where required.
- Ensure broking teams fulfil responsibilities as defined in responsibility matrices and operational procedures.
- Coordinate with insurers, underwriters, and internal processing teams to ensure timely and accurate execution.
- Ensure accurate and complete data capture in broking systems, CRM, and internal trackers.
Team Assistance
- Support onboarding and induction of new brokers and support staff, including systems, tools, and compliance requirements.
- Maintain and update Broker Enablement resources including templates, SOPs, guides, FAQs, and induction materials.
- Provide structured administrative, follow-up, and coordination support to enable broker and team productivity.
Reporting & Management Information
- Prepare recurring and ad-hoc operational reports covering broker activity, workflow volumes, turnaround times, and key KPIs.
- Track action items, operational follow-ups, and dependencies arising from management discussions, audits, or operational forums.
- Support preparation of management updates, dashboards, and materials for senior stakeholders.
- Ensure management information is accurate, consistent, explainable, and audit defensible.
Technical Discipline & System Integrity
- Support accuracy of risk, market, and premium booking information by checking alignment between placement records and system entries.
- Assist with validation that markets, capacities, and counterparties align with approved security and reference lists.
- Help coordinate corrections and follow-ups where booking or documentation discrepancies are identified.
- Reinforce system discipline by supporting clean data structures, consistent identifiers, and clear audit trails.
File Structure, Evidence & Control Readiness
- Support consistent file structure, filing hygiene, and document completeness in line with Operations and Technical standards.
- Help ensure supporting evidence is readily retrievable for audits, QA reviews, and regulatory enquiries.
- Assist Compliance and Operations teams during audits and reviews by maintaining clear records and documentation trails.
Operational Enablement & Process Discipline
- Identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and operational risks within Broker Enablement workflows and propose improvements.
- Support implementation of standardized workflows, controls, quality checks, and SPOE principles.
- Assist with coordination of operational projects, process changes, and digital enablement initiatives.
- Support automation of routine tracking and reporting where possible to improve efficiency and scalability.
Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure broker-facing documentation and internal records meet regulatory, audit, and internal compliance standards.
- Work with Compliance and Operations leadership to reinforce process adherence, conduct expectations, and control discipline.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience in insurance broking, broker support, operations, or financial services.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple workflows, dependencies, and stakeholders.
- High attention todetail with a strong documentation, control, and contract certainty mindset.
- Comfortable producingoperational reports and explaining data clearly to senior stakeholders.
- Strong communication and coordination skills across brokers, Operations, Compliance, and Technical teams.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Copilot tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams).
Other Experience:
- Exposure to Broker Enablement equivalent, Technical Administration, or Operations functions.
- Familiarity with commercial, specialty, or wholesale insurance broking.
- Experience supporting audits, QA reviews, or regulatory reporting.
- Interest in process improvement, digital enablement, and operational transformation.
