Project Engineer (Product Management / NPI ) LT63

Key Responsibilities

Project / NPI Management

• Manage end-to-end New Product Introduction (NPI) projects, including build-to-print and customized components

• Track and monitor First Article (FA) orders and project milestones, identifying risks and implementing mitigation actions

• Translate new requirements into clear, actionable tasks for cross-functional teams

• Prepare and maintain project status reports, including timelines, risks, and key deliverables

• Coordinate closely with Sales, customers, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth execution and project closure

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in project management processes and workflows

Data Analysis & Reporting

• Perform data analysis and reporting, including development of dashboards using BI tools (e.g. Power BI, SQL)

• Identify trends, gaps, and discrepancies, and recommend corrective actions to improve performance and decision-making

Quotation & Commercial Support

• Support the RFQ (Request for Quotation) process by preparing accurate, timely, and competitive quotations

• Work with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on costing, lead time, and technical feasibility

Additional Responsibilities

• Conduct root cause analysis on project or data-related issues

• Support customer site visits, technical discussions, and presentations

• Assist with ad-hoc tasks and cross-functional initiatives as required

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering, Data Science, or related discipline

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in:

  • New Product Introduction (NPI)

  • Inside Sales / Quotation / Order Management

  • Project coordination or engineering support roles

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office experience with SAP is an advantage

• Exposure to BI tools (e.g. Power BI, SQL) is preferred

• Knowledge of optical components / precision engineering is a plus

• Detail-oriented, organized, and customer-focused mindset

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
