A major global software company is seeking a Business & Ethics Attorney to help the business conduct internal policy compliance investigations for their Asia-based operations. This is a full-time (40 hours per week), interim/contract role with an initial 12-month term. Candidates must be willing to work on site in Singapore on at least a hybrid basis.
Substantive Law Experience:
- At least five (5) years of legal practice. JD from a top 50 US law school or equivalent non-US legal studies program, at least five years of experience practicing law at an Amlaw 200 law firm.
- At least five (5) years of experience with internal investigations focused on policy compliance and government investigations. 5 years of combined experience performing/leading internal investigations focused on compliance with the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and other anticorruption/antibribery statutes at an Amlaw 200 law firm and/or Fortune 50 publicly-traded company.
- Experience conducting internal investigations for an in-house client from drafting investigation plan through drafting a report of investigation.
- Experience conducting investigation interviews and email/document review and sharing investigation outcomes with corporate stakeholders
Jurisdictions: Hold an license and qualifications to practice law (Singapore, U.S., U.K., India or any other authorized legal bar)
Private Practice Experience:
- At least five (5) years of legal practice. JD from a top 50 US law school or equivalent non-US legal studies program, at least five years of experience practicing law at an Amlaw 200 law firm.
In-House Experience:
- At least five (5) years of experience with internal investigations focused on policy compliance and government investigations.
- 5 years of combined experience performing/leading internal investigations focused on compliance with the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and other anticorruption/antibribery statutes at an Amlaw 200 law firm and/or Fortune 50 publicly-traded company
Education:
JD from a top 50 US law school or equivalent non-US legal studies program, at least five years of experience practicing law at an Amlaw 200 law firm.
