Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned communications leader to join our Corporate Communications team. This is a strategic role that requires a strong blend of external and internal communication expertise, with proven ability to shape narratives, build brand reputation, and engage stakeholders across different platforms.

The successful candidate will bring strong media relationships, excellent PR skills, and the ability to partner with senior leaders to deliver impactful communication outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute external communication strategies to enhance the company's reputation and visibility.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with media, industry stakeholders, and external partners.
  • Craft key messages, press releases, media statements, speeches, and briefing notes for senior leadership.
  • Proactively manage corporate reputation, including handling issues management and crisis communications.
  • Support employee engagement by developing clear and consistent internal communication strategies.
  • Partner with internal teams and management to effectively communicate messages that align with company culture and business priorities.
  • Create impactful communication materials for townhalls, employee campaigns, and change management initiatives.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior management on communication matters.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of messaging across channels.
  • Provide communication counsel and media training for business leaders and spokespersons.

Key Requirements

  • Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related discipline.
  • At least 1215 years of progressive experience in corporate communications, media relations, and public affairs, preferably in financial services, insurance, or related industries.
  • Strong media network and demonstrated ability to secure positive coverage across mainstream and trade publications.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives for diverse audiences.
  • Proven experience in issues/crisis management and advising senior stakeholders.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight timelines.
  • Collaborative, resourceful, and able to influence across functions in a complex stakeholder environment.
