Your key roles & responsibilities include:
- Follow the policy & direction of the department and to assist superiors in accomplishing the department's overall duties and responsibilities
- Provide cross-functional project management among the Head Office, the APAC Head Office and overseas offices
- Take the lead and provide proper governance and control for Asia-Pacific offices in the regional large-scale projects, such as core banking system projects
- Coordinate a wide variety of stakeholders, including related systems and users, to promote regional large-scale projects and ensure alignment with both system architecture and business strategy
- Track the project progress and issues, report them to senior management in a timely manner, and resolve issues by involving relevant parties
- Negotiate with relevant parties to manage requirements, secure project objectives and timelines, and avoid budget overruns
- Strengthen the Asia-Pacific region's capability for project promotion through training, increasing resources, etc.
- Promote a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement among broader project members and related stakeholders
What you should have:
- A Bachelor's Degree.
- At least 15 years of experience in the banking industry.
- Proven project management skills in huge and complicated projects across various countries.
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to acquire consensus among stakeholders.
- Business-level proficiency in both the English and Japanese languages will be advantageous as you are required to communicate, read and understand, as well as respond and present to management and Japan (Head Office). This includes system discussions, Q&A meetings, status update meetings, and writing reports to management, etc.
