What You'll Do
- Identify prospective merchants to create and deliver compelling sales pitches to establish new destinations and/or verticals for Klook.
- Create and deliver compelling sales pitches to existing merchants, driving engagement and sales growth. Leverage Klook's advantages to build out competitive supply products.
- Negotiate with merchants to drive growth (promotions, marketing exposure, supply strength, partner programs, etc) and achieve business objectives.
- Build trust and relationships with partners to enhance their sales potential across Klook's platforms, effectively conveying Klook's strengths and brand value while proactively understanding merchants business situations and requirements through maintaining supply excellence such as supply, inventory and pricing objectives.
- Effectively manage a designated destination and/or vertical by gathering key insights, establishing relationships with key stakeholders, and representing Klook
- An understanding of commercial models, e.g. bulk buy, prepayments, ROI, qualitative benefits that are important to Klook.
- Lead, coach, and cultivate growth within the BD team to achieve business and key supply strength metric targets.
What You'll Need (Capabilities)
- Proficiency in various sales and deal-making techniques such as pitching, negotiation, consultative selling, and closing deals is essential for effectively engaging with merchants and driving growth.
- Ability to build and maintain trust-based relationships with merchants and partners is crucial for enhancing sales potential and fostering long-term partnerships. Develop a deep understanding of merchants ie. strategic priorities, pain points, decision makers, decision making process, org chart, KPIs, competitors actions, etc.
- Strong and creative problem-solving skills are necessary for addressing merchants needs and challenges, as well as for overcoming obstacles in the sales process.
- Flexibility and resilience to navigate changing market dynamics, overcome obstacles, and drive continuous improvement in sales processes and strategies. Must be able to self-organize, stay focused and execute on action plans.
- 6-8 Years of working experience, preferably (but not mandatory) in travel, technology, e-commerce, social commerce, attractions or events/entertainment industries
