Job Description

Job Title: Assistant Sushi Chef (Japanese Restaurant)

Salary: $2,200 - $2,700

Job Summary:

Do you want to learn how to make sushi We are looking for a helper to join our sushi team. You do not need experience. You just need to be interested in Japanese food and willing to learn. You will help the Sushi Chef prepare fresh fish, make rice, and serve sushi to customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare Ingredients: Wash, cut, and prepare vegetables, fish, and other items for sushi.
  • Cook Rice: Learn how to cook and season sushi rice the right way.
  • Assist in Preparing Ingredients: Help make simple sushi rolls and side dishes.
  • Keep Clean: Clean workspace, tools, and sushi counter. Follow hygiene rules.
  • Help the Chef: Listen to the Sushi Chef and do what he asks you to do.
  • Check Stock: Help check fish and other supplies. Make sure everything is fresh.


Qualifications:

  • Singaporeans / PRs and Work Permit.
  • Little experience preferred, especially Kitchen knife skills.
  • Basic hygiene, cleanliness and neat.
  • You must be able to work on weekends and Public Holidays.
  • Preferably to have a Food Hygiene Certificate (WSQ).
  • You must be honest, hardworking, and willing to listen and learn.
