This role is essential in supporting the donations and sponsorships processes that enable the museums to present world-class exhibitions, deliver meaningful public programmes, and advance their cultural mission.
What You Will Be Working On
Fundraising:
- Support the development and delivery of fundraising initiatives and donor campaigns in collaboration with the HOD and senior team.
- Assist in drafting proposals, donor briefs, gift agreements, and acknowledgements.
- Coordinate stewardship programmes including donor events, exhibition openings, cultivation sessions, and recognition initiatives.
- Prepare stewardship reports and impact updates to demonstrate outcomes to donors, corporate and foundation partners.
- Plan and execute logistics for donor events and fundraising engagements. Serve as operational liaison with internal teams, vendors, and external partners during campaigns and events.
- Develop supporting materials such as pitch decks, proposals, and briefing documents for donor meetings.
- Administer procurement and financial processes in accordance with NHB procedures and guidelines.
- Coordinate procurement workflows to align with campaign and event timelines. Support budget tracking and financial reporting for fundraising activities.
An ideal candidate should possess the following:
- Background in Communications, Business Administration, Arts Management, Cultural Studies, or a related field
- Preferably 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in fundraising, project management, and stakeholder engagement preferably within a cultural or non-profit organisation.
- Strong understanding of fundraising processes: prospect development, proposal writing, gift processing, stewardship, and donor recognition
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to prepare compelling proposals and briefing materials
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders
- Knowledge of Singapore's cultural landscape and genuine interest in heritage and the arts
- Proficiency with CRM/database management, Microsoft Office Suite, and financial tracking tools
- Working knowledge of procurement procedures and financial processes aligned with institutional guidelines
- Self-starter with a proactive approach; capable of working independently and taking ownership of tasks
- Organised and detail-oriented; ability to manage priorities, and compliance requirements
- High degree of professionalism and discretion when handling confidential donor information and governance matters
- Resilient and adaptable, with problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in a collaborative, dynamic environment
