Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure Operations
- Plan and oversee daily infrastructure operations and maintenance activities
- Ensure systems performance, availability, and capacity meet business needs
- Support the implementation and expansion of infrastructure solutions
- Monitor resource utilization and recommend improvements where necessary
- Provide operational updates to management as required
Implementation & Support
- Coordinate infrastructure implementations, system installations, and upgrades
- Manage task prioritization and resource allocation within the team
- Support troubleshooting of complex technical issues and escalations
- Develop and maintain operational procedures and documentation
Incident & Continuity Management
- Oversee incident response and ensure timely resolution of issues
- Monitor service levels and identify recurring problems for improvement
- Support disaster recovery planning and testing activities
Project & Resource Coordination
- Assist in developing infrastructure project plans
- Ensure projects are delivered within agreed timelines and budgets
- Support cost optimization initiatives and efficient use of resources
Team Management
- Supervise infrastructure engineers and technical staff
- Manage work allocation, scheduling, and performance monitoring
- Provide coaching and support staff development
- Foster teamwork and accountability within the department
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field (or equivalent professional qualification)
- 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure operations, with some team leadership exposure
- Solid knowledge of infrastructure environments (servers, networks, virtualization, storage, etc.)
- Experience managing incidents and supporting system implementations
- Good organizational and stakeholder communication skills
