Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Chef in preparing tonkatsu and Japanese dishes
• Master techniques in breading, frying, and plating
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards
• Manage inventory and check ingredient quality
• Support and guide junior staff when needed
• Ensure consistency in taste, quality, and presentation
• Contribute ideas for menu development and seasonal specials

Requirements

• 3-5 years cooking experience (Japanese cuisine / frying preferred)
• Knowledge of Japanese ingredients and frying techniques
• Food safety certification (advantageous)

Skills & Attributes

• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Professionalism and attention to detail
• Non-smokers preferred

Employment Details

Salary: SGD $3,200 - $4,000/month

5.5-day work week (shift-based, including weekends & public holidays)

Location: Tanjong Pagar, Singapore
