AS400 Developer

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced AS400 Developer to handle application enhancements, technical analysis, production support, and UAT while working closely with business and technical teams.

Mandatory Skill-set

• Must have 3-5 years of hands-on experience in AS400/iSeries development and support
• Strong knowledge of RPGLE, SQLRPGLE, CLLE, DB2/400, DDS, Subfiles, Query/400, and Embedded SQL
• Experience handling production issues, batch jobs, system integrations, and performance tuning
• Good understanding of SDLC, project implementation, release management, and change management
• Hands-on experience supporting UAT, SIT, regression testing, and production verification.

Desired Skill-set

• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills
• Experience in banking/payment systems, with exposure to Control-M, DevOps/CI/CD, integrations, and Agile/Hybrid environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead AS400 application enhancements, technical delivery, and project implementation
• Perform impact analysis, estimation, solution design, and development using RPGLE, CLLE, SQLRPGLE, and DB2
• Coordinate SIT/UAT, deployments, migrations, and post-production validation
• Work with business and technical teams to understand requirements and resolve issues
• Provide technical guidance, code reviews, and support to development teams
• Handle production incidents, root-cause analysis, performance issues, and permanent fixes.
