We are looking for 3-5 years of hands-on experience in IBM AS400/iSeries development and support for this role.
We are seeking an experienced AS400 Developer to support application delivery ,enhancement projects, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities for critical business applications running on the IBM AS400 platform.
Project Delivery
- Lead technical delivery of AS400 application enhancements and projects.
- Perform impact analysis, effort estimation, and technical solution design.
- Develop, enhance, and maintain AS400 applications using RPGLE, CLLE, SQLRPGLE, and DB2.
- Coordinate development activities and ensure adherence to project timelines.
- Support SIT, UAT, and production implementation activities.
- Manage deployment planning, migration, and post-implementation verification.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Prepare technical documentation, deployment plans, and support handover documents.
UAT Support
- Coordinate and support UAT execution with business users.
- Analyze and troubleshoot UAT defects and production issues.
Production Support
- Investigate application incidents and performance issues.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes.
Strong knowledge of:
- RPGLE, SQLRPGLE, CLLE, DB2/400 Database, Query/400, DDS, Subfiles, Embedded SQL
- Experience with source version control and change management processes.
- Good understanding of batch processing, job scheduling, and system integrations.
