We&aposre looking for an Area Manager (SIN8) to join our dynamic Fulfillment Center. Our Fulfillment Centers are at the heart of Amazon&aposs rapidly growing Operations network: they&aposre where we manage our fast-moving inventory.
They&aposre also where we developed our industry-leading workflows. Our teams stow deliveries, pick products, package them up and ship them out: each of these groups have played their part in taking us where we are today. In these facilities we&aposre building the future of customer service, as we work towards becoming Earth&aposs most customer-centric company. This is your chance to make history with us.
About The Role And Responsibilities
You&aposll be responsible as a manager for one of the main teams in your FC: receive, stow, pick, pack or ship. Along with your peers, you&aposll ensure that all workflows run smoothly and that customer expectations are met, if not exceeded.
In the operations team you enter and lead, we&aposll be entrusting you a team of associates. You&aposll drive a culture of Safety, while motivating and inspiring forward progress for Quality and Productivity. All the while, you&aposll exercise sound judgement, making sure progress and KPI targets are worked towards and met.
While you achieve this, you&aposll ensure motivation, engagement and performance:
- You&aposll need to safeguard your team&aposs safety, promoting Amazon&aposs Health and Safety standards
- You&aposll lead cross-functional teams, tasked with solving operational problems
- You&aposll build and execute productivity plans by reviewing work forecasts, determining productivity requirements, and partnering with other Area Managers to balance labor
- You&aposll uphold Amazon&aposs high standards of process quality
- You&aposll create, manage, and support recognition and communication programs
- You&aposll maintain inventory accuracy
- You&aposll strive to improve and streamline processes
- You&aposll become a subject matter expert on FC processes and activities
- You&aposll actively share and promote best practices with your colleagues and network

Basic Qualifications
- 1+ years of employee and performance management experience
- Bachelor&aposs degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience
- Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
- Can push and pull wheeled dollies loaded with products up to 100 pounds during shifts
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience
