What you'll be doing
1. Installation and Commissioning:
- Responsible for the installation and commissioning of WEG products(such as Electric motor, Drives & Alternator) and equipment at customer sites.
- Work closely with control systems to integrate VFDs and motors into a cohesive operation.
- Ensure that all equipment is set up correctly and meets operational standards.
2. Maintenance and Repairs
- Perform field service or maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment to ensure smooth operation.
- Diagnose and repair technical issues related to equipment malfunction or failure.
3. Customer Training and Support:
- Provide technical support and guidance to customers regarding product usage and maintenance.
- Conduct on-site training sessions for clients on how to operate and maintain equipment.
4. Technical Support and Consultation
- Offer technical consultation to assist in resolving complex technical issues.
- Collaborate with the technical team to develop solutions tailored to customer needs.
5. Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain detailed service records, including maintenance schedules, repairs, and customer feedback.
- Submit regular reports on job status, equipment conditions, and service-related activities to management.
- Provide recommendations for improvements based on site observations and customer input.
6. Health, Safety, and Compliance
- Ensure compliance with local health and safety regulations while on- site.
- Promote a safe working environment by following safety protocols and using proper safety equipment.
- Adhere to company policies and guidelines for quality control and industry standards.
7. Collaboration, Coordination, and Customer RelationshipManagement:
- Work closely with the technical and support teams to resolve complex technical issues.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing technical inquiries and service-related concerns.
8. Travel Requirements:
- Willingness to travel in ASEAN region for on-site service, commissioning/installations, maintenance, and customer support.
- Occasional travel to regional or overseas locations may be required based on project needs and customer requirements.
9. Experimentation and Investigation:
- Analyse data and report findings to support product and system improvements.
10. Inventory and Materials Management:
- Inspect inventory levels and reorder materials and technical components to maintain stock for ongoing projects.
- Ensure the availability of necessary parts and components to avoid project delays.
11. Record-Keeping and Presentation Support:
- Assist with presentations and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
12. Emergency Response / Urgent Support:
- Provide urgent support and troubleshoot critical issues during emergency breakdowns to minimize downtime.
- Respond quickly to urgent customer service requests, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
13. Strong Communication Skills:
- Verbal Communication: Ability to articulate thoughts and ideas clearly and confidently in meetings, presentations, and discussions with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.
- Written Communication: Skilled in drafting clear, concise, and professional emails, reports, and documentation for both internal and external audiences.
