Adhere to electrical codes and standards for electrical safety of machinery
Implement lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and ensure machinery safety compliance
Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, PLC ladder logic, and electrical BOMs
Collaborate with Production control, warehouse team, technicians, and line supervisors to plan wiring routes and installation sequencing
Connect and commission CNC drives, servo motors, spindle drives, PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), HMIs (Human-Machine Interfaces), and CNC controllers
Diagnose electrical faults using multi-meters, insulation testers, meggers, and oscilloscope tools
Install, route, and terminate electrical cables, conduits, and wiring for CNC machines, control panels, robotics, and automation equipment Integrate sensors, encoders, safety devices, interlocks, and safety PLCs (SIL/PL safety requirements) Maintain documentation of maintenance activities and electrical diagrams
Maintain inventory of electrical components and tools Mount and wire electrical enclosures, terminal blocks, relays, contactors, fuses, and controllers Perform routine inspection, preventive maintenance, calibration, and replacement of worn components
Troubleshoot intermittent issues on production lines to minimize downtime Any other duties as assigned by superior
Job Requirement:
Diploma or Certificate in Electrical Engineering or a related field (apprenticeship completion preferred) Knowledge of machine safety standards and electrical cabinet design
Proficiency with PLCs, CNC controls, servo drives, and electrical schematics
