Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

The Accounts Assistant will support the daily financial transactions of the company, helping to facilitate efficient workflow in financial operations and accurate records for monthly closing and statutory compliance.

JOB ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Data entry of invoices, payments, and receipts into accounting software.
  • Maintain proper accounting records, documentation, and filing.
  • Assist to prepare full sets of accounts, including journal entries and General Ledger maintenance.
  • Assist to manage vendor invoices, payments, petty cash, and debtor follow-ups.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing, preparing schedules such as fixed assets, prepayments, and accruals.
  • Assist to perform bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Assist in GST submission, preparation of unaudited financial statements, and supporting corporate tax filings.
  • Support Procurement to verify purchase orders, invoices, and supporting documents.
  • Assist to monitor and account for cost of goods sold accurately and support in stocktake exercises.


RECOMMENDED QUALIFICATIONS & ATTRIBUTES

  • 2-3 years of hands-on bookkeeping experience.

  • Diploma or Certificate in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent LCCI/ACCA.

  • Proficiency in Xero

  • Familiar with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS), IRAS, and CPF regulations.

  • High level of accuracy and detail-oriented.

  • Able to work independently on operational tasks while supporting team objectives.

  • Comfortable working with Google Suites and Mac OS.
