Accountant (Full Set | Steel / Metal / Trading Industry)

We are a growing company specializing in rebar, steel products, and manufacturing/processing services. We are committed to delivering reliable products and project support to customers across construction, industrial, and related sectors.

As part of our continued growth, we are looking for a committed, hands-on, and detail-oriented Accountant to support our finance operations in a dynamic trading environment.

Key Responsibilities

. Handle full set of accounts, including General Ledger and preparation of audit schedules

. Review invoice postings and ensure timely and accurate processing of payments

. Manage intercompany transactions, billings, reconciliations, and balances

. Review staff claims to ensure accuracy and proper supporting documentation

. Monitor cash flow and support daily cash management activities

. Follow up on accounts receivable to ensure timely collection

. Maintain fixed asset register, including additions, disposals, and depreciation

. Prepare tax schedules and liaise with tax agents on corporate tax matters

. Prepare and submit quarterly GST returns

. Liaise with external auditors and support annual audit processes

. Analyse financial data and prepare reports for management review

. Support finance operations in a high-volume trading environment

. Perform other ad-hoc finance duties as assigned

Requirements

. Degree or Diploma in Accounting / Finance / related discipline

. Minimum 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience

. Proven ability to handle full set of accounts independently

. Experience in steel / metal / trading / manufacturing industry is an advantage

. Familiar with high transaction volume and inventory-based business preferred

. Experience in consolidation and audit is a plus

. Proficient in accounting software experience with trading-related systems is a plus

. Strong sense of responsibility, initiative, and ownership

. Meticulous, well-organised, and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
