The Opportunity
We are looking for a detail-oriented and technically proficient Accountant with a strong background in group consolidation, audit, and tax. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the Group Finance function, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting and compliance across the organisation.
What you will do
Group Consolidation
- Prepare and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual group consolidation of financial statements across multiple entities.
- Perform intercompany reconciliations, eliminations, and adjustments in accordance with applicable accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP).
- Maintain and update the group consolidation model and ensure data integrity across subsidiaries.
- Liaise with subsidiary finance teams to ensure timely and accurate submission of reporting packages.
- Support the preparation of the Group's consolidated financial statements and disclosures.
Audit
- Act as a key contact for internal and external auditors, facilitating audit requests and providing supporting schedules and documentation.
- Coordinate the year-end statutory audit process, including preparation of audit files and resolution of audit queries.
- Identify and implement improvements to internal controls and financial processes to enhance audit readiness.
- Monitor compliance with group accounting policies and flag deviations for resolution.
Tax
- Prepare corporate tax computations and tax provisions in accordance with local tax regulations.
- Assist in the preparation and timely submission of direct and indirect tax returns (e.g., corporate income tax, GST/VAT).
- Support transfer pricing documentation and intercompany pricing reviews.
- Monitor tax legislative changes and assess their impact on the Group advise management accordingly.
- Liaise with external tax advisors as required.
General Accounting & Reporting
- Assist in the preparation of management accounts and board reporting packs.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Maintain accurate general ledger records and ensure financial data is complete and audit-ready.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives and adoption of best practices within the finance function.
What we're looking for
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Professional accounting qualification in CPA, ACCA.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a group or regional finance environment.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience in group consolidation across multiple entities and currencies.
- Strong background in statutory audit coordination and working directly with external auditors.
- Solid knowledge of corporate tax compliance and tax reporting requirements.
- Experience with IFRS or GAAP financial reporting standards.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in accounting especially group consolidation and ERP systems especially MS Business Central 365 is an added advantage (e.g.BC365, Netsuite or equivalent)
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g Pivot tables, VLOOKUP etc).
- Exposure to complex group accounting and cross-border finance functions.
- Familiarity with consolidation tools is an advantage.

- High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise across different teams and jurisdictions.
- Proficiency in both English and Mandarin (spoken and written) is preferred to facilitate effective communication with the China Finance team.
