About the role

LOH & LOH CONSTRUCTION (PRIVATE) LIMITED is seeking an experienced WSHO/ECO to join our team in the West Region. As a WSHO/ECO, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health, safety, and environmental compliance of our construction projects. This full-time position is an opportunity to contribute to the strategic objectives of our company while making a positive impact on the well-being of our employees and the communities we serve.

What you'll be doing

• Develop, implement, and monitor health, safety, and environmental management systems to meet or exceed industry standards and regulatory requirements
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify and mitigate potential risks
• Provide training and support to project teams on health, safety, and environmental best practices
• Investigate incidents and accidents, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence
• Collaborate with project managers and clients to ensure seamless integration of health, safety, and environmental policies
• Stay up-to-date with changes in relevant legislation and industry regulations
• Prepare and maintain accurate records, reports, and documentat

What we're looking for

• Degree or diploma in occupational health and safety, environmental management, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a WSHO/ECO role, preferably in the construction industry
• Thorough understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations and best practices
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders
• Proficient in the use of relevant software and technology
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• ConSass audit experience preferred.
