We are seeking a qualified and experienced Safety Officer to oversee and ensure compliance with workplace safety and health (WSH) regulations for a large-scale LTA project. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining a safe working environment, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring adherence to regulatory and project-specific safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and enforce WSH policies and procedures in accordance with LTA and MOM regulations.
- Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
- Ensure all work activities are aligned with LTA's safety guidelines and industry best practices.
- Monitor and manage safety-related documentation, including incident reports, permits, and safety records.
- Familiar with InSight - Maintain accurate records and reporting through the LTA InSight system.
- Organize and conduct safety briefings, toolbox meetings, and training sessions for workers and subcontractors.
- Investigate accidents/incidents, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Work closely with site management, engineers, and contractors to promote a strong safety culture.
Requirements:
- WSH-related certification (e.g., WSQ Advanced Certificate in WSH, NEBOSH, or equivalent).
- Registered Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO) with MOM is a must.
- Experience in LTA projects is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of WSH regulations, LTA safety requirements, and risk management practices.
- Proficiency in InSight for reporting and documentation.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to coordinate with stakeholders and ensure compliance.
