Job Description

Duties & Responsibilities

Work Place Safety & Health Officer

  • Accountable to the occupier for providing updates on Operational Safety & Health (OHS) regulations pertaining to the Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) Act

  • Accountable for implementing, executing and monitoring of WSH & Risk Management Systems

  • Conduct Accident Investigation, Risk & Hazard Analysis and provide necessary preventive measures

  • Timely submission of accident/incident report to Company

  • Monitors OHS control measures by conducting regular audits and on-site inspections

  • Conduct quarterly safety briefings and tool box meetings for operators/drivers

  • Liaising with regulatory agencies with regards to Safety, Health and Environment matters

  • Ensure compliance to Integrated Management System (ISO9001 & ISO45001)

  • Update legal register regularly and keep proper safety records, incident reports and statistics

  • Conduct monthly Safety Committee Meeting and update WSH committee members on latest MOM safety matters

  • Advise Management on problem correction and propose safety measures to mitigate hazardous work activities.

Fire Safety Manager

  • To prepare and execute the Emergency Response Plan for the premises

  • To conduct daily/weekly checks and inspections within the premises and remove any fire hazard found

  • To ensure fire safety requirements contained in the Emergency Response Plan are complied with at all times

  • To conduct in-house fire drills at least once or twice in every calendar year or on such occasion as mandated by regulatory authorities

  • To conduct at least 2 Table-Top Exercise yearly and to evaluate the Emergency Response Plan

  • To record Minutes of Meeting and provide feedbacks for improvement

  • To furnish incident reports in the event of fire and other related emergencies

  • To train, coordinate and supervise the Emergency Response Team in first -aid, fire-fighting and evacuation in the event of fire or other related emergencies

  • To advise and recommend a list of fire-fighting equipment for the Emergency Response Team

  • To prepare and implement Arson Prevention Plan and fire safety guidebooks

  • To carry out fire risk assessment and recommend areas of improvement

  • To endorse annual Fire Certificate renewal with PE endorsement.

  • Any other duties as assigned by the Management
