Job Description

Job Responsibilities

  • Support the Safety Officer in the development and implementation of workplace safety and health (WSH) policies and procedures

  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance with statutory requirements

  • Organize and conduct safety training sessions for all levels of staff

  • Investigate incidents and accidents to identify root causes and recommend preventive measures

  • Maintain comprehensive records of safety audits, incidents, training, and compliance documents

  • Collaborate with staff and management to drive continuous improvements in safety practices

  • Perform risk assessments and implement practical mitigation strategies

  • Develop, update, and coordinate emergency response plans and conduct drills

  • Take the lead or assist in safety-related initiatives and projects

  • Keep up-to-date with changes in WSH regulations, industry safety standards, and emerging trends

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in workplace safety and health

  • Diploma or Degree in Engineering/ Environmental Health Safety or related discipline

  • WSQ Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health (Level B)

  • Valid Building Construction Supervisor Safety (BCSS) certificate

  • Extensive knowledge of relevant legislative requirements, regulations, ISO45001 and ISO14001 and industry best practises

  • In-depth knowledge of the Workplace Safety and Health Act and statutory requirements

  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills to assess hazards and implement control measures

  • High level of dedication to safety excellence and continuous improvement

  • Confine space Certified

  • Work at heights Certified

  • Bizsafe 2 Certified
