The Workshop Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the workshop, ensuring all activities are carried out efficiently, safely, and in compliance with company standards. This role involves assigning tasks to technicians, monitoring workflow, managing resources, and maintaining high levels of safety and quality. The Workshop Supervisor acts as a bridge between technicians and management, driving productivity and fostering continuous improvement within the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and oversee daily workshop operations to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks.
- Assign and monitor tasks to technicians, ensuring work is performed to required quality and safety standards.
- Manage workshop resources, including monitoring inventory levels, tools, and equipment maintenance.
- Identify and resolve operational issues to minimize downtime and optimize productivity.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality regulations at all times.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and training to staff to improve technical skills and performance.
- Maintain accurate records of job progress, inventory usage, and equipment servicing.
- Liaise with management to report on workshop performance, challenges, and improvement initiatives.
- Promote teamwork and a positive work environment to achieve operational goals.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Mechanical, Electrical, or related field (preferred).
- 5 Years proven experience in workshop supervision or a related technical supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of workshop processes, tools, and equipment maintenance.
- Good leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to enforce safety standards and quality requirements.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
