The Engineering Team is responsible for carrying out the testing, service, repair and calibration of equipment to manufacturer's specifications and tolerances following in house test procedures.
Role Description:
As Workshop Engineer you will undertake a number of tasks in preparing equipment for rental or sale including equipment interfacing, maintenance, servicing and re-certification, all of which will be required in order to meet project deadlines. You will also be responsible for the reporting of client damages within agreed timescales which is pivotal to making sure all recharges are successful.
Although the main role is workshop based in Singapore, it is expected that you will support mobilisations and offshore work for clients so flexibility is required.
To apply for this post you must have degree or equivalent in a relevant area; Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or Engineering Systems. Candidates must have experience of servicing, testing/interfacing and repair of electronic survey equipment as well as experience of Pcb investigation, soldering, crimping and mechanical assembly.
You will have strong expertise in geophysical and hydrographic survey work, as well as training in Applanix GNSS systems. With exceptional attention to detail and an ability to work unsupervised, you must demonstrate your experience of working to a high standard. Indeed, with the occasional need to provide technical support to our customers, potentially offshore, we also require you to have good communication skills and solid experience of Microsoft Office Suite.
Although the main role is workshop based in our newly opened facility at Loyang Offshore Base, it is expected that you will support occasional mobilisations for clients, so flexibility is required to travel to international locations both on and offshore.
