Job Description
a) Report to the Project Manager. Responsible for the EHS systems and implementations.
b) The duties and responsibilities includes but not limited to the following:
- Implement, maintain, and improve the organization's WSH Management System.
- Ensure full compliance with WSH Act, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001
- Lead and supervise the EHS team in enforcing safe work practices.
- Conduct daily site inspections and audits to identify and correct hazards or unsafe practices.
- Monitor site EHS performance and report findings to Project Manager
- Ensure timely submission of EHS reports to management and clients.
- Prepare and review Risk Assessments, Safe Work Procedures and EHS plans.
- Establish emergency preparedness procedures and coordinate with relevant agencies.
- Lead investigations for all incidents, near-misses, and recommend preventive actions.
- Conduct toolbox talks, safety briefings, and EHS training sessions to promote safety culture
- Support EHS programmes and initiatives.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping of all EHS-related documents, reports, training logs, incident records, etc.
- Prepare and submit documentation for EHS-related awards and recognition programmes.
- Support internal and external audits for certifications
- Close audit gaps and ensure follow-up actions are implemented.
- Support other project-related tasks assigned by the Project Manager to ensure safe execution.
Requirements
- Registered WSHO with MOM
- Minimum 3 years experience as a WSHO, preferably in large-scale LTA projects
- Strong understanding of WSH legislation, codes of practice, and environmental regulations
- Experience in ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 systems
- Good leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
