- Liaise closely with Project Managers and Head of Departments to develop, implement, maintain and improve WSH Management Systems and culture and project level
- Lead daily Toolbox meeting, safety meetings, safety inspections, safety training and all other initiatives or activities to maintain a high level of safety at worksite
- Perform the duties of SMO and implement and coordinate a system of Safe Management Measures
- To be able to effectively assess risk impact of project activities and issue Safety Stand Down when deemed necessary.
- Build and maintain good rapport with Government bodies in matters pertaining to Health and Safety of the Personnel and Operatives / Workers
- Conduct accident / incident investigations and recommendations on corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Monitor and evaluate effectiveness of all corrective actions taken
- Ensure reporting of incident comply with legal requirement.
- Maintain and update all WSH records, certificates and reports in accordance with WSH legislation
- Identify environmental issues and recommend measures to rectify the irregularities
- Conduct Environmental, Health and Safety Audits as per requirements;
REQUIREMENTS:
- Possess at least a Specialist Diploma in WSH and/or bachelor's degree in Workplace safety and health (WSH)-related and certificate in ECO
- Minimum 3 years of working experience in construction projects after getting WSHO/ECO certificate.
- Registered WSHO with Ministry of Manpower
- Certified and registered ECO by the National Environment Agency (NEA)
- PUB registered Earth Control Measure Officer (ECMO)
- Completed Safe Management Officers (SMO) Course by approved training centre or institution.
