Workplace Safety & Health Officer

Responsibilities

• Oversee all site safety matters to ensure full compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) and Environmental Management regulations.
• Review and verify project risk assessments and method statements.
• Implement and monitor safety and emergency response plans, conduct safety briefings, and ensure timely incident reporting.
• Carry out daily and regular site inspections to identify and rectify unsafe practices.
• Prepare and submit safety inspection reports in accordance with project requirements.
• Attend project and client meetings to report and advise on safety-related issues.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years experience in construction safety supervision, preferably in civil, underground, pipejacking, or pipelaying projects.
• Able to perform roles such as ECO, ECMO, Confined Space Assessor, Earthwork Supervisor, and Lifting Supervisor when required.
• Registered with the Ministry of Manpower (MOM).
• Possess a valid Class 2/3 driving license.
• Good knowledge of local WSH legislation and industry best practices.
