Job Summary
Support the Project Manager in implementing and maintaining the Integrated Management System for QEHS, managing workplace safety risks, promoting EHS awareness, ensuring regulatory compliance, and conducting site inspections and safety meetings.
Responsibilities
- Implement the Integrated Management System for Quality, Environment, Health, and Safety (QEHS) to support project objectives
- Identify and assess foreseeable workplace risks to protect all personnel and affected parties
- Recommend practical risk elimination measures to the Project Manager to enhance workplace safety
- Organize and promote Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) activities and campaigns to increase site personnel awareness
- Review and suggest improvements to the EHS Management System for continuous enhancement
- Ensure compliance with all statutory regulations, codes of practice, and company EHS policies at project sites
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to monitor safety performance and identify hazards
- Lead monthly safety committee meetings to discuss safety issues and implement corrective actions
- Perform ad-hoc duties assigned by management to support EHS objectives and project needs
Required competencies and certifications
- WSQ Certificates, Diploma, or Degree in Workplace Safety and Health or equivalent
- Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) with Ministry of Manpower (MOM)
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience managing workplace safety and collaborating with project teams to meet deadlines
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Environmental Control Officer (ECO) Certification
