Roles & Responsibilities
. Conducting Safety Inspections:
Regularly inspecting the workplace to identify potential hazards, non-compliance with safety regulations, and unsafe work practices.
. Developing and Implementing Safety Programs:
Creating and implementing workplace safety programs, policies, and procedures to address identified hazards and promote a safe working environment.
. Incident Investigation:
Investigating workplace accidents and near misses to determine the root causes and prevent future occurrences.
. Risk Assessment:
Evaluating the risks associated with workplace hazards and recommending appropriate control measures.
. Promoting Safety Awareness:
Educating and training employees on safety procedures, safe work practices, and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
. Ensuring Compliance:
Ensuring that the workplace adheres to all relevant WSH legislation, regulations, and standards.
. Emergency Preparedness:
Developing and implementing emergency response plans and procedures.
. Maintaining Safety Documentation:
Keeping accurate records of safety inspections, incident investigations, training programs, and other relevant safety information.
. Liaising with Stakeholders:
Communicating with management, employees, contractors, and other relevant parties on WSH matters.
. Monitoring and Evaluation:
Regularly monitoring the effectiveness of safety programs and making adjustments as needed.
Requirements
. WSQ advance certificate in WSH with Refresher course
. WAH assessor certificate.
. Risk management course.
. Responsible and with a good attitude.
. A team player with and ability to work independently.
. Minimum 3 years experience in marine, logistics and/or construction.
