Welding Technician

ALG is currently recruiting for Welding Technicians to work in a facility in the west of Singapore.

This role offers an exciting long-term contract opportunity, supporting fabrication and production operations within the workshop environment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform welding and fabrication work in accordance with technical drawings and specification.

• Operate welding equipment such as MIG, TIG, ARC, or other applicable welding processes.

• Prepare materials for welding, including cutting, grinding, fitting, and surface preparation.

• Interpret engineering drawings and ensure accurate measurements using tools such as measuring tape, ruler, tri square, fillet gauge, protractor, and level gauge.

• Conduct visual inspections of welded joints to ensure quality, strength, and compliance with required standards.

• Operate hand tools, power tools, and workshop equipment safely and effectively.

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with workplace safety regulations.

• Knowledge in operation of welding equipment and tools.

• Complete job documentation, including checklists and service records, accurately and promptly.

• Any other ad-hoc matters to support the team.

Job Requirements:

• Possess a NITEC or Diploma in a relevant field.

• A minimum of 2 years relevant experience in welding.

• Read and interpret technical drawings.

• Willingness to perform shift work and work on weekends.

• Comfortable working on weekends.

• Able to read and write in English.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment.
