Job Description
- Prepare and set up welding tools, equipment, and steel materials for fabrication tasks
- Perform welding on steel structures, beams, columns, and metal plates according to drawings and specifications
- Maintain a safe and secure work environment by following standard welding procedures and company safety rules
- Report fabrication or alignment issues and assist in resolving them with supervisors and engineers
- Ensure high-quality welds that meet structural integrity and inspection standards
- Safely handle and maintain welding machines, gas cylinders, and cutting tools
- Keep the workplace tidy, organized, and free of hazards
- Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor, including assisting in steel assembly and fitting works
- Inspect and maintain welding equipment regularly to ensure safe operation
- Document any safety incidents or hazards observed during operations.
- Gas cutting, PP welding, metal arc welding, and orbital welding
- Proficient in 3G, 4G, 5G & 6G welding techniques, especially for steel structure joints
- GTAW 6G - 2 Schedule 80 Stainless Steel (SS) welding qualification certificate is required.
- Ability to follow standard welding SOPs and structural fabrication drawings
