Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

Perform welding and metal fabrication works using MIG, TIG, ARC/SMAW and other approved welding processes.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, welding symbols and work instructions.
Prepare, cut, fit, align and tack-weld metal components before final welding.
Weld carbon steel, stainless steel and other metal materials according to specifications.
Operate and maintain welding machines, grinders, cutting tools and related equipment.
Inspect completed welds for defects and carry out necessary repairs or rectification.
Ensure welding work meets required quality, dimensional and safety standards.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment and follow Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) requirements.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safe welding practices.
Work closely with supervisors, fitters, engineers and other team members to complete assigned projects.
Perform other welding and fabrication duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

Relevant welding experience is preferred.
Welding certification or technical qualification will be an advantage.
Experience in MIG, TIG, ARC/SMAW or structural/pipe welding is an advantage.
Ability to read basic engineering drawings and welding symbols.
Good understanding of welding safety procedures and PPE requirements.
Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Willing to work overtime, shifts or at project/worksite locations when required. With 5 years minimum experience.
