Job Summary
Oversee daily warehouse operations in a wholesale market, coordinating staff and managing perishable goods to ensure timely, efficient, and quality distribution during early morning market activities.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily warehouse operations including receiving, sorting, packing, and distributing fresh produce to meet customer demand
- Coordinate and assign tasks to warehouse staff to ensure timely and accurate preparation of customer orders
- Monitor handling and storage of perishable goods to maintain product quality and reduce spoilage
- Oversee loading and unloading activities to ensure smooth workflow and operational efficiency
- Maintain inventory accuracy by supporting stock control and record-keeping processes
- Implement and monitor cleanliness and organization standards to maintain a safe and efficient warehouse environment
- Evaluate staff performance and ensure compliance with company procedures and operational guidelines
- Liaise with management, suppliers, and customers to resolve operational issues and improve service delivery
- Enforce workplace safety standards and ensure adherence to operational guidelines during all activities
Required competencies and certifications
- Ability to work early morning shifts starting at 5:30 AM and adhere to strict reporting times
- Comfortable performing manual handling tasks in a wet and dusty wholesale market environment
- Minimum 3 years of experience in warehouse, logistics, or wholesale operations
- Proven ability to manage daily operations and coordinate a team effectively
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Prior supervisory or team-leading experience
- Experience handling fresh produce or perishable goods
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Responsible and reliable with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment

- Start time: 5:30 AM (strictly required)
- Working hours: 44 hours per week
- Rest day: Sunday & Public Holidays
