Job Description

A Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking food according to recipes, quality standards, and food safety regulations. They ensure meals are served on time, maintain a clean kitchen environment, and assist in managing kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with established recipes and standards
  • Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet expectations
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations
  • Follow food safety and hygiene regulations (e.g., proper storage, handling, and sanitation)
  • Monitor inventory levels and report shortages or expired items
  • Assist in receiving and storing food supplies
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
  • Work closely with kitchen staff and follow instructions from the Head Chef or Supervisor
  • Ensure timely preparation of orders, especially during busy hours

Requirements & Skills:

  • Proven experience as a cook or similar role (preferred)
  • Knowledge of cooking techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment
  • Understanding of food safety standards and regulations
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Good time management and multitasking skills
  • Team player with good communication skills
  • Physical stamina to stand for long hours and handle kitchen tasks
