As a Warehouse Operator you will be responsible for all activities involving materials movement and inventory transfer between the warehouse, production, staging area and customer sites. You will support a wide variety of tasks in the warehouse function. This includes receiving, supporting production, shipping, cycle counting, inventory management and systems. We are looking for a certain level of computer literacy and high level of physical effort. You will be reporting to Warehouse Supervisor and you will be based at Seletar Plant.
Main Responsibilities
- You will assist Warehouse Supervisor in Receiving, Production Support, Shipping & Inventory Management.
- Receive – unloading, inspecting, receiving, sampling and locating all ingredients, packing and finished product that arrives at the plant.
- Production support – You will need to ensure supply of ingredients and packaging to production and filling lines.
- Inventory management – You will perform cycle counts, complete reconciliations, monitor inventory transactions, sort out inventory issues as they arise.
- You will need to ensure proper documentation/filing and goods receiving of delivered items to warehouse in the online system (QAD, HMM).
- Perform a variety of warehouse tasks including packing, picking and receiving tasks.
- Maintain good housekeeping in warehouse area using Lean system (eg. 5S, FIFO, RCA).
- Strict compliance with corporate policies and legal requirements on Environment, Health and Safety (EHS).
- Perform any other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- NITEC or Higher NITEC qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in warehouse, freight forwarding and logistics in the Chemicals industry, Aerospace background.
- Preferably with a valid forklift licence.
- Previous experience operating VNA will be advantages.
- Experience unstuffing pallets, crates and cartons from container.
- Experience working in a chemical environment handling Class 3 Dangerous Goods and packing for overseas Air Shipment.
- Good interpersonal skills – able to work well with all levels
- Able to work under minimal supervision, has initiative and willing to learn attitude.
- Fast learner and has a good interpersonal skills
- Basic PC knowledge skills is a must.
