Warehouse Assistant

Job Title: Warehouse Assistant (E-commerce & Retail Fulfilment)

Role Summary

You are responsible for the accurate, fast, and consistent packing of orders for both e-commerce and retail channels. This is a hands-on, physical role requiring attention to detail, speed, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

1. Order Fulfilment (Core Responsibility)

• Pick and pack e-commerce and retail orders accurately based on order lists

• Ensure correct products, quantities, and variants are packed

• Perform final checks before sealing and dispatch

• Label parcels clearly and correctly for courier or store delivery

2. Packing & Handling

• Pack products securely to prevent damage in transit

• Handle fragile items appropriately

• Maintain consistency in packaging standards (branding, inserts, etc.)

3. Inventory Handling

• Retrieve items from shelves efficiently

• Assist with stock organisation and replenishment

• Flag low stock or discrepancies to supervisor

4. Warehouse Operations

• Keep packing area clean and organised at all times

• Follow SOPs for order processing and packing

• Assist with receiving and sorting incoming goods when required

5. Accuracy & Accountability

• Minimise picking and packing errors

• Take responsibility for mistakes and correct them quickly

• Meet daily order fulfilment targets

Job Requirements

• Physically fit and able to lift and move boxes regularly

• Comfortable with repetitive, manual work

• Able to stand for extended periods

• High attention to detail (errors cost the business money)

• Able to work in a fast-paced environment

• Basic understanding of numbers and order lists

• Prior warehouse or fulfilment experience is a bonus, not required

Performance Expectations (Non-Negotiable)

• Accuracy Speed, but both matter

• Consistent output across the day (not bursts)

• Low error rate in packing and labelling

• Reliability (shows up, performs, no excuses)

Working Conditions

• Warehouse environment (air-conditioned picking)

• Manual handling of goods required daily

• May require overtime during peak periods (sales, campaigns)
