Responsibilities
As a key member of the SG CBG Credit team, you will:
- Lead a team of experienced credit approvers to ensure sound, consistent, and policyaligned lending decisions
- Oversee complex and escalated cases, providing clear guidance and strong credit judgment
- Uphold disciplined underwriting standards and ensure decisions reflect the bank's risk appetite and regulatory expectations
- Partner with business, product, and risk teams to support responsible growth while maintaining credit discipline
- Strengthen credit processes, documentation quality, and governance practices across the approval workflow
- Drive continuous improvement and promote efficiency, consistency, and transparency in credit decisioning
- Develop team capabilities, foster a culture of professionalism and accountability, and ensure strong succession readiness
Requirements
You'll thrive in this role if you bring:
- 10+ years of experience in consumer credit risk, with strong exposure to underwriting of retail and wealth products
- Proven leadership experience managing a credit team in a fastpaced and dynamic environment
- Strong understanding of credit risk, collateral management, portfolio analytics, and risk controls
- Confidence engaging senior stakeholders and influencing outcomes across risk, business, and control functions
Qualifications & Knowledge
- A recognised degree in Banking and Finance, Economics, Business Administration or equivalent
- Strong Understanding of consumer lending regulations and compliance requirements
- Knowledge of industry best practices, trends and emerging technologies in consumer banking
