The VP, Rewards Consultant is a senior leader and subject matter expert in Compensation Systems and Projects, responsible for the end-to-end project management, governance, and strategic oversight of the annual compensation review system (HRSoft). This is pivotal role acts as the central hub connecting rewards strategy, country and branch-specific policies, and HR technology to ensure a seamless, accurate and efficient year-end compensation cycle across the APAC region.
This individual will lead through influence, acting as a senior project leader and internal consultant to country and branch HR teams, guiding them through the complexities of the compensation process. The role will also play a key part in the future transition to Workday.

Job Responsibilities
Project Leadership of the Annual Compensation Cycle
- Co-direct the end-to-end project management of the annual compensation review process with the Regional Rewards team, from initial planning and system setup to final execution and post-cycle review.
- Develop and manage a detailed project plan, defining key milestones, timelines, dependencies, and resource requirements.
- Lead project steering committee meetings, providing regular status updates, managing stakeholder expectations, and facilitating key decisions.
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks to ensure a successful and on-time cycle.
System Design, Configuration and Governance
- Translate the bank's compensation philosophy and annual cycle requirements into detailed business requirements for the compensation system (HRSoft).
- Lead the system design and configuration process, partnering with HR Technology to ensure the platform is built to meet the specific needs.
- Define the data architecture and process flow in HRSoft, ensuring the right data definitions, types and validation rules are in place of data moving into the system. While not responsible for the raw data itself, this role owns the integrity of the data model within the compensation system.
- Oversee all system testing phases, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT), to ensure data integrity, calculation accuracy and a positive user experience.
Country Engagement and Policy Consolidation
- Collaborate with all APAC countries and branches to consolidate local compensation policies, practices, and regulatory requirements, ensuring they are accurately reflected in the system design.
- Project management all compliance and approval workflows, ensuring the system implementation and process adhere to both internal policies and external regulatory standards.
Vendor Management and Reporting
- Manage the relationship with the system vendor (HRSoft), acting as the primary point of contact for system enhancements, issue resolution, and configuration changes.
- Coordinate with the vendor and HR Technology to design and deliver the required system, functionality, dashboards and reports for managers, HR, and senior leadership.
- Ensure all reporting outputs are accurate, insightful, and meet the needs of the business.
Future State Planning
- Act as a key subject matter expert in the integration initiatives between HRSoft and the appointed HRIS system.
- Partner with the HR Technology project team to represent the needs of the APAC Rewards function, ensuring the future HRIS system configuration is fit for purpose.
Leadership and Influence
- Lead through influence, acting as a senior project leader and subject matter expert to guide stakeholders across multiple functions and countries.
- Foster strong collaborative relationships with Rewards, HR Technology, Finance, Country, and Branch HR Leaders.
Change Management
- Review and propose approach and process to ensure a consistent implementation across locations and business lines.
- Review phased approach of adaptation for each country to align to project objectives.
- Guide local human resources in terms of the change and implementation of the annual compensation system.
Job Requirements
- Has experience in compensation, benefits, and total rewards, with a strong focus on compensation system management and project leadership.
- Demonstrated proficiency with compensation technology platforms (e.g., HRSoft, Workday, SuccessFactors, or similar) is a pre-requisite, including experience in system design, configuration, testing and reporting.
- Proven track record in leading large-scale, complex projects related to annual compensation cycles or HR technology implementation, ideally within a regional or multi-country APAC environment.
- Experience working as a third-party contractor or consultant in a similar a capacity is preferred; this is a 12-month contract role, with the possibility of extension up to 24 months.
- Ability to consolidate and translate country-specific policies and requirements into system and process design.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to lead through influence and collaborate across multiple functions, countries, and seniority levels.
- Experience managing vendor relationships and coordinating with HR technology teams for system enhancements and issue resolution.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a commitment to data integrity.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and adaptability in a fast-paced, project driven environment.
