Job Responsibilities:
A. Quality Assurance (QA):
- Support the Head, Regulatory Monitoring & Testing (RMT), Singapore, in managing the overall regulatory compliance risks of Maybank Singapore Limited.
- Lead and perform independent Quality Assurance reviews to assess adherence to regulatory requirements, internal policies, and Group standards.
- Conduct QA reviews across both Regulatory Compliance and Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) areas to ensure the quality and consistency of monitoring outputs.
- Develop and maintain QA frameworks, templates, and tools to standardize the review process and enhance quality outcomes.
- Identify process and control gaps, recommend enhancements, and track remediation actions to completion.
- Provide training or feedback sessions to enhance reviewers understanding of QA expectations and standards.
B. Control Testing & Monitoring:
- Design and execute surveillance and monitoring programs to provide independent assurance on compliance with key regulations (e.g., Banking Act, SFA, FAA, PDPA).
- Review and enhance testing methodologies, including sampling, control assessment, and data analytics techniques.
- Conduct control testing and thematic reviews to assess the adequacy and effectiveness of business and compliance controls.
- Develop, review, and update compliance frameworks, policies, and procedures (excluding FCC) to ensure alignment with regulatory and Group requirements.
- Collaborate with business units and risk partners to address identified issues, ensuring effective remediation and sustainable control improvements.
C. Reporting & Governance:
- Prepare and present QA and monitoring results, key findings, and trend analysis to senior management and compliance committees.
- Consolidate monthly and quarterly compliance reporting (including dashboards and metrics) for management and Group Compliance.
- Support regulatory reporting and governance documentation requirements, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely submission.
- Track and monitor issue resolution, follow-ups, and thematic observations to provide management with clear oversight of remediation progress.
- Coordinate with Group counterparts on QA results, deviation justifications, and compliance performance metrics to maintain consistency in reporting standards.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or relevant professional qualification in a related field.
- Degree in Banking & Finance or ICA Diploma preferred; proficiency in Data Analytics is an advantage.
- 610 years of experience in the banking or financial industry with exposure to business, risk, compliance, operations, or audit.
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, with an interest in leveraging Data Analytics and Generative AI for monitoring and assurance activities.
- Excellent communication, report-writing, and stakeholder management skills.
