This role is ideal for a creative video editor with a passion for storytelling and podcast content. You will be responsible for editing a podcast episode from two separate video sources, ensuring a cohesive and engaging final product. The project requires summarizing lengthy footage into a concise 30–35 minute episode, muting select words as needed, and achieving consistent color grading between different camera sources. Additionally, you will create 2 to 4 short, attention-grabbing video clips optimized for YouTube and Instagram. The position is fully remote, offering flexibility and autonomy for an experienced editor.
Deliverables
- Edit two 44-minute video files into a single, summarized podcast episode (30–35 minutes)
- Mute specific words as requested throughout the episode
- Color match footage from Canon 90d and DJI Pocket 3 for visual consistency
- Produce 2 to 4 short-form video clips suitable for YouTube and Instagram
- Ensure all deliverables meet high creative and technical standards
Requirements
- Proven experience in video editing, especially for podcasts or long-form content
- Strong skills in color correction and grading across multiple camera sources
- Proficiency with industry-standard editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve)
- Ability to creatively summarize and condense content while maintaining narrative flow
- Experience preparing content for social media platforms (YouTube, Instagram)
- Excellent attention to detail, especially in audio editing and muting
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote setting
- Reliable internet connection and access to necessary editing tools
