We produce content across platforms - from long-form YouTube home tours to short-form videos on WeChat, Xiaohongshu, TikTok, and Instagram Reels.

Role Snapshot

This is a freelance video editor role (remote-friendly).

You will focus on:

• Editing raw footage into polished, high-performing content
• Creating motion graphics to enhance storytelling
• Preparing videos for multi-platform publishing

All filming, audio recording, and direction will be handled by the Home Quarters team.

Key Responsibilities

1. Video Editing & Post-Production (≈60%)

• Edit home tour videos, educational content, and marketing videos from provided raw footage
• Sync and clean audio (voice + wireless mic recordings)
• Structure narratives for clarity, engagement, and pacing
• Add subtitles (English / Chinese where required)
• Insert:Titles, lower thirds, annotationsProperty highlights (schools, malls, transport, etc.)Floorplan overlays
• Perform colour correction and audio balancing
• Export final videos for different platforms

2. Motion Graphics (After Effects) (≈20%)

• Create motion graphics using Adobe After Effects (proficiency required)
• Examples include:Map animations (location, transport connectivity)Text and line animations for amenities (malls, schools, parks)Data highlights and calloutsFloorplan animation overlays
• Ensure graphics are clean, consistent, and aligned with Home Quarters branding

3. Short-Form & Social Content (≈15%)

• Cut short-form clips from long-form content (hooks, highlights, key insights)
• Add dynamic captions, zooms, and text animations for vertical formats
• Create thumbnails / cover frames (English & Chinese variants when needed)
• Optimise for TikTok, IG Reels, YouTube Shorts, Xiaohongshu, WeChat Channels

4. File Management & Workflow (≈5%)

• Organise project files and exports in shared drives
• Maintain clean structure and naming conventions
• Deliver based on agreed timelines

What We're Looking For

• Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro (or equivalent)
• Strong proficiency in Adobe After Effects (required) for motion graphics
• Good sense of pacing, storytelling, and viewer retention
• Experience with both long-form and short-form video editing
• Able to work independently and meet deadlines consistently
• Comfortable with remote collaboration (WhatsApp, Trello, shared drives)
