Vice Principal/Principal

Location: Jurong
Employment Type: Temporary Contract (Maternity Cover)
Duration: 3-4 months

Maplebear Jurong Lakeside is seeking a passionate and experienced Acting Principal / Vice-Principal to lead the centre during a maternity leave period. The successful candidate will support the team in maintaining a nurturing, safe, and engaging environment for young children while ensuring smooth daily operations of the preschool.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight of daily preschool operations

• Support and guide teachers in curriculum planning and classroom management

• Ensure high standards of care, safety, and early childhood education

• Work closely with teachers to support children's development and wellbeing

• Communicate effectively with parents and address enquiries or concerns

• Ensure compliance with preschool regulations and centre policies

• Foster a positive and collaborative culture among staff

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) or related field

• Relevant leadership or senior teacher experience in a preschool setting

• Strong knowledge of early childhood curriculum and child development

• Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills

• Ability to manage a team and support centre operations effectively

Preferred

• Experience in a leadership role such as Centre Leader, Vice-Principal, or Senior Teacher

• Familiarity with preschool regulatory requirements and quality standards
