Purpose of the Position
This role will work in close partnership with the Talent Acquisition (TA) and Mobility teams, driving the effective execution of recruitment activities and mobility operations across APAC, including group companies.
A key focus of the role is collaboration with Head Office HR as well as global and regional Centers of Excellence (COEs) to ensure that Head Office, global, and regional frameworks, policies, and processes are consistently and efficiently implemented in the region.
In addition, the role will contribute to the continuous improvement of operational processes related to employee mobility and onboarding, with a strong focus on execution excellence, cross-stakeholder coordination, and enhancement of employee experience. There would be coordination with the learning teams in Tokyo and APD to enable a good learning experience for candidates coming through internal mobility.
Role Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition - Collaboration and Execution
- Support the planning and execution of end-to-end talent acquisition activities across APAC, including group companies.
- Partner with HR Business Partners and hiring managers to clarify hiring needs, support recruitment processes, and ensure timely and high-quality hiring outcomes.
- Coordinate with Head Office HR to align on recruitment policies, governance requirements, and expectations, and support their practical and compliant implementation in APAC.
- Identify recruitment-related issues and market trends and provide structured feedback and insights to TA teams and key stakeholders.
- Track and analyze talent acquisition-related metrics and reports to support operational transparency and continuous improvement.
Mobility Operations
- Support operational processes related to employee mobility and onboarding across APAC and group companies, including transfers, secondments, and role changes.
- Work closely with TA teams, HR Solution Desk, country HR, and relevant stakeholders to ensure smooth coordination from hiring or mobility approval through onboarding and early-stage integration.
- Identify operational gaps, pain points, and inefficiencies in mobility and onboarding processes, and support process enhancements from an execution and operations perspective.
- Enhance consistency, clarity, and employee experience in mobility and onboarding operations through improved coordination, documentation, and process alignment.
Head Office and Global HR Interface
- Act as a key point of contact between APAC HR teams and Head Office HR, as well as global and regional COEs, on Talent Acquisition, Learning, mobility, and related operational matters.
- Support onboarding and learning journey of candidates who are coming through internal mobility channels
- Support effective communication, alignment, and execution of Head Office and global initiatives at the regional and local levels.
- Bridge differences between global frameworks and local execution requirements, ensuring practical, workable, and compliant outcomes in APAC.
Project and Operational Support
- Participate in projects related to Talent Acquisition, mobility, and HR process enhancement, including digitalization and operational improvements.
- Support preparation of materials, reporting, and coordination required for regional and global HR initiatives.
- Assist with ad-hoc HR projects and cross-functional initiatives as required.
Role Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related disciplines.
- At least 7 years in HR experience in the banking or financial services industry, preferably in a regional or large-scale organizational environment.
- Hands-on experience in executing and coordinating end-to-end HR processes, with a strong understanding of recruitment and mobility operations.
- Ability to multi-task and operate efficiently under fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy in work delivery.
- Experience working with Head Office and/or global or regional HR teams, with the ability to understand global frameworks and support effective regional and local execution.
- Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across various, diverse stakeholders.
- Proactive, collaborative, and adaptable mindset, with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives concurrently while maintaining attention to detail.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly with diverse stakeholders.
- Fluent English and Japanese skills are strongly preferred, as the role requires regular interaction with Head Office and global stakeholders.
